Refund Policy

At Marriage Proposal in Rio, every experience is carefully planned around you — your date, your location, your story. From the moment you book, our team begins coordinating logistics, blocking schedules, and preparing everything behind the scenes to make your proposal perfect.

Because of the time and resources committed from day one, we follow a clear and fair refund policy, outlined below.

1. Payment and Booking Confirmation

Full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking to secure your date and guarantee that all preparations begin on schedule. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received in full.

We accept payment via PayPal. Taxes, card processor fees, or platform charges imposed by the payment provider are the responsibility of the client and are not included in the quoted price.

2. Cancellations

Cancellations 15 or more days before the event: If you need to cancel your experience at least 15 days before the scheduled date, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the total amount paid. The remaining 50% will be retained to cover planning, coordination, and resources already allocated. Please note that card processing and payment platform fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refunded amount.

Cancellations within 14 days of the event: Cancellations made within 14 days of your scheduled experience are non-refundable. By this point, our team is fully mobilized — decorations are sourced, vendors are booked, and logistics are in place.

No-Shows: If you fail to attend on the day without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

Package Changes: No refunds or price reductions will be offered for downgrading your selected package once the booking is confirmed and the contract is signed.

3. Weather Conditions

We want your proposal to be exactly as you imagined it. In cases of unfavorable weather, we offer flexibility:

Rescheduling: If official weather forecasts indicate a probability of rain for your scheduled date and time, we reserve the right to reschedule the event within a 2-month window based on mutual availability, or move it to a pre-arranged indoor location at no additional cost.

Client Choice to Proceed: If you explicitly choose to go ahead with an outdoor setup despite a forecast of rain or unfavorable conditions, the experience will be officially considered "performed" regardless of what the weather brings. In this case, no refund will be issued for any limitations to the setup, decoration, or photo quality caused by the conditions.

4. Artistic Style and Delivery

Creative Vision: Refunds will not be issued based on dissatisfaction with the editing style, artistic choices, or creative vision of the photographer. Our portfolio is shared with all clients prior to booking so you can review our work and confirm it matches your expectations before committing.

Natural Conditions: If the client chose to proceed with the session under poor weather conditions, we are not liable for limitations in photo or video quality caused by rain, wind, or poor natural lighting.

Gallery Re-upload: A fee of BRL 200 applies if the client requests the gallery to be re-sent after the 10-day download window has expired. This fee is non-refundable.

5. Provider Incapacity

In the unlikely event that illness, accident, or another force majeure situation prevents the Service Provider from performing on the day, we will provide a qualified substitute professional at no extra cost to you. If a substitute cannot be arranged, refund terms will be discussed based on the specific circumstances.
