When Miguel and Eli came from Mexico to visit Rio de Janeiro, he knew that this trip would be even more special. And it was no wonder: he wanted to make a perfect marriage proposal here in Rio de Janeiro!

With the help of my experience, we began planning every detail for the perfect proposal in Rio de Janeiro. Choosing the location was essential to make the proposal even more meaningful, and there was nothing more iconic than Ipanema Beach at dawn. We chose 7am on a seaman's day, when the sun was starting to shine and the place was usually less crowded, creating a perfect atmosphere for the big moment.

Miguel wanted to give Eli a special bouquet, and I was responsible for helping him choose the perfect arrangement for the occasion and taking it to him as well. Everything was ready, and I stayed far away, as I always do, waiting for them at the meeting point I had agreed with Miguel.

When I finally spotted the couple, my heart raced. I always get anxious and it seems like I'm going to make the request! hahaha. From afar I prepare myself and wait. And then I saw Miguel get down on one knee and ask the most important question of their lives, and what followed was pure emotion. Eli, clearly touched, could not hide her tears of happiness, and the love that spread in that moment was contagious.

Being part of such an intimate and meaningful moment reminds me of the power of photography: capturing not just images, but feelings and stories that will last forever.
