A picnic on the sand in Rio de Janeiro
Samuel proposed to Emile at a picnic on the beach, in Rio de Janeiro.
We set up the picnic on the sand, facing the sea. There was a low table, cushions, a fringed umbrella, a teepee with a teddy bear, a parasol and a basket of roses. On the table: a flower bouquet, bread, cake, sparkling wine, a photo of the couple and a calendar showing September 29.
The proposal
Samuel and Emile arrived walking along the beach, with Pedra da Gávea in the background. In front of the picnic, he got down on one knee with the ring. Emile said yes, and they hugged.
Then he gave her the bouquet, and they sat down for a toast with sparkling wine. We took photos of the couple along the water until sunset, and also with the "Casa Comigo?" sign under the umbrella.
